How to know God

You can be sure of your eternal destiny.

The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned (Romans 3:23), that we have lied, cheated, stolen, etc...
It also says that since we have done those things we have to spend an eternity in Hell (Romans 6:23). That's the bad news but, there is good news!

The Bible tells us that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13). Jesus, through His death, paid the debt of sin that separates us from God. All we have to do is lay aside our pride and accept that payment.

Is there any reason why you would not want to accept
the payment that Christ paid for you?

If you would like to accept Christ into your life as Lord and have Him forgive you of your sins, then say this simple prayer and mean it with all your heart:

"Dear Jesus, I know that I have sinned. I know that You died on the cross for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. I ask You to forgive me of my sins and be Lord of my life. I ask that You would help me to live my life the way You would desire me to do. Thank you and Amen."

Congratulations! Now that you have made Jesus the Lord of your life you can be sure that you will spend eternity with God. If you meant that prayer then there are three things that you need to do that will help you live your life right.

  1. Read your Bible every day.

  2. Pray every day. Praying is easy, you just talk to God the same way you would talk to a close friend. There are no set words you need to say, just share your heart.

  3. Get involved in a local church. It is important that you get involved in a local Bible believing church in your area. This will help you serve and know God better. If you do not have a church, we can help you find one in your area. Or, if you just need someone to talk to about your new relationship with Jesus e-mail us or call 409.722.1962.
