Johanis Ciandy- Indonesia

Johanis is a GTCOTR supported missionary and a graduate of Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas.  Johanis interned here before returning to his home country to begin missions work and youth outreach in a primarily Muslim area. Together with another ministry, Johanis has opened an outreach community center for families in the city of Merauke.  Recently he had 22 Muslim families attend an outreach, some of whom came to Christ.  This summer, 137 youth attended his youth camp, 64 were born again and 70 recommitted to live for the Lord. 
 

Sound System

This system will be used specifically for youth camp events. Up until now we have been renting a system, but it will be more cost effective to own one allowing us to use the rental money towards camp scholarships for students as this ministry grows.

Music Scholarships

A number of the student leaders who have been working with our youth camps will graduate this year leaving holes in our worship team. We would like to send 5 of our up and coming musicians to a three month training course to ensure that they are prepared for this next season of ministry.

Filing Cabinet

This basic storage facility will be used for the Merauke Community Center to ensure that proper records are kept secure and organized as we minister to numerous families and lead many to the Lord.

Toiletries for Orphans

 
Many children in this area do not even receive their most basic needs. For only $3 we will provide them with a "necessities" kit containing things such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other important tools for basic hygiene. We hope to purchase 100 of these kits to hand out.

Snacks

One of our greatest outreaches is to the many street kids in the Merauke area. It is our desire to meet some of their immediate needs as we draw them in and introduce them to Jesus Christ. As so many of these children spend their lives hungry, we would like to hand out small snacks to them when we go out to their areas to minister. We could easily hand out 500 snacks, and for just $2 each, you could be part of this too!

Sacks of Rice

In such a poverty stricken area, the orphanage struggles to even meet its daily necessities. At times there is hardly enough to keep stomachs full. It only costs $8 to buy 1 sack of rice that will feed an orphan in the Merauke area for 2 weeks. We are asking for a total of 100 sacks to supply food throughout the winter season.
